Outfit: pink fur

IMG_4611IMG_4648IMG_4671IMG_4621
fur collar: H&M   dress: H&M   socks: Sock Dreams   shoes: Anarchic   ring:  Oh My Deer!

I'm a bit in love with this cozy fur collar. I also got one in leopard print! A couple days after I took these pictures, I bleach my roots in preparation for lovely new hair colors! It looked neat for a day or two, how my hair faded from blonde at the roots to cotton candy pink to hot pink at the ends. I'll post a picture later. Winter term of school starts today, so I'm off to prepare myself!

Outfit: new year’s eve

IMG_4554IMG_4561IMG_4575IMG_4540
fur sweater: Forever 21   dress: Morbid Threads   stockings: Leg Avenue   shoes: Dockers

I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year's eve! I rang in 2013 with some lovely friends, yummy drinks, and Apples to Apples. I was planning on wearing something ridiculously sparkly and glittery, but ended up re-discovering this old dress from high school. I think I wore it to homecoming one year? I felt pretty fancy, which is how one should always feel on new years eve!

Outfit: Christmas

IMG_4486IMG_4519IMG_4516IMG_4488
shirt: Goodwill, dress: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, shoes: thrifted, tie: Flapper Girl

I wore this outfit for Christmas this year. I really love this dress, because the pattern reminds me of a Christmas tree. Sadly, after washing it once, it's now nearly shirt-length. Sigh. I seem to always have that problem with H&M's clothes.

It's really hard to believe that it will be 2013 in a couple days. This year sped by pretty fast!  I have the new years eve off this year, for the first time in a few years, so I'm really looking forward to ringing in the new year with some of my lovely friends!

Our rat, Volta joined me for a picture. She's the sweetest little rat ever. She even looked right at the camera!

Outfit: fuzzy flowers

IMG_4085IMG_4116IMG_4110IMG_4112IMG_4104
dress: H&M     fuzzy sweater: Arizona   shoes: thrifted   brooch: my shop

That sweater is just as soft and cuddly and fuzzy as it looks. I would be totally happy if every article of clothing I owned was made out of this fabric. I'm a very tactile person. I like fabrics that feel good, like silk or fur. I love fuzzy blankets, fuzzy pillows, fuzzy everything. I genuinely think that the "furry walls" from the movie Get Him to the Greek is one of the best ideas ever.

Outfit: Spacey Girl

IMG_3920IMG_3950IMG_3954cIMG_3923
lace top: Goodwill, skirt: Romwe, velvet leggings: Forever 21, shoes: Report

I'm still so in love with this skirt. It's hard to pair it with things since it's completely sheer. I usually wear another skirt under it or just wear it over thick leggings. I've been trying to find black velvet leggings for awhile, and finally spotted some at Forever 21. They're soft and comfy and warm, perfect for winter! They're also thick enough to look almost like pants.

Outfit: pearls and lace

IMG_3882 IMG_3909   IMG_3888e IMG_3885
dress: modcloth   lace cardigan: forever 21   tights: house of holland

I got this dress a couple months ago when modcloth was having that crazy awesome sale. It's really comfy, flowy, and silky. I'm currently in the midst of a three-day weekend, making some fresh jewelry, and editing etsy listings. I have a handful of new pieces made, but it just takes so long sometimes to photograph, edit, and list it all. Wish me luck!IMG_3901

Lovely Things

OOAK - Hand-painted Locket - Cosmos and Two Moons
An adorable locket from ginettepomette on Etsy
Cat calling.
This cat-calling comic by Seamus Gallagher cracked me up.

I've recently developed a Sailor Moon obsession. I wish I could find this insanely adorable sailor costume! If anyone knows where this is from, let me know!

Speaking of sailor dresses, these "Sea Shanty Singing" dresses from Modcloth are gorgeous.

I really want to try out this diy tutorial for temporary tattoos. It looks pretty simple!
lavender and pink
This half-pink/half-lavender hair is so perfect!

Outfit: it’s cold and I have a cold.

This is obviously the best rug in the world.

dress: Forever 21 leggings: Target shoes: Report  pizza ring: handmade  druzy pendant: ebay

Well, it definitely feels like winter here. It's "I can see my breath" cold out there and there's a wicked cold/flu making the rounds. I've been sick for about a week, but it's starting to go away. Somehow, I have the next four days off work, and I am so happy about that. I'm going to chillax hard and hopefully get lots of lovely jewelry made up for the shop. Christmas is coming!

This is how I really feel right now. BLECH!

Silver "Lust in Space" Dress: ebay
Ursa Minor skirt: Chicago Costume
tiara: dollar store
leggings: H&M
boots: thrifted
glitter galaxy necklace: Zombot Shop

Ah! You guys! This is definitely my favorite halloween costume of my life. See that triangle of dots in the middle of my dress? They light up blue, pink, and purple and make beep-boop-beep noises! It's so perfect! It's hard to tell in these pictures, but all my skin is covered in tons of glitter and sparkly goodness. Tonight I'm giving a group presentation for my psych class (eeeeek) and then headed to the lovely barcade Ground Kontrol for some arcade games, yummy drinks, and fun times with good friends. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

zombie walk

IMG_3545
So, Zombie Walk this year was honestly, a bit of a disappointment. The last couple years that I went, it was this giant event in downtown Portland with over 1000 zombies. It usually went on for an hour or two, and it was an absolute blast. This year it was in the industrial district. WHAT? There's nothing there. There's no people to see the walk, no bars to duck into for a quick drink, no parks to run through in search of brains, no tourists to scare. It was the smallest turnout I had seen, and the walk itself lasted maybe fifteen minutes. I'm pretty sure someone different was organizing it this year, and they really did a terrible job. Maybe next year will be better, or I'll just organize my own awesome zombie walk
IMG_5581
I didn't take many pictures since it was pouring rain the whole time, and there weren't many great photo ops. Sigh.
IMG_5595
My favorite two zombies by far were the zombie stormtrooper (with an ewok head purse!) and a princess fairy zombie.

I layered those veiny tights over some skeleton tights. I liked the way it turned out!
