Outfit: Pizza Vest

shirt: nollie vest: dolled up pizza patch: fennec design co.  pants: forever 21  shoes: rock & candy

So this is the latest vest I've modified. It's food-themed, but most importantly focuses on PIZZA! It came with the studs, but I added everything else. How amazing is that patch on the back?! The taco and pizza buttons on the collar were given to me by my mum, and the sweet Sailor Moon patch is from my friend Steph. I thought it especially appropriate since Sailor Moon loves junk food and eating all the time. I really like making cute vests with themes. They're fun to plan and put together, and they're comfortable to just throw over whatever outfit I'm wearing!

Outfit: Space Girl

dress: Target  space collar: Ether Apparel  boots: thrifted  helmet: ebay

For Halloween this year, I was a Space Girl. I was initially going to be an astronaut/space cadet, but the helmet I ordered off ebay (which I'm wearing above) was ridiculously uncomfortable and floppy. My space cadet collar is from Ether Apparel on Etsy. They make really fantastic pieces, custom made for your size and color preferences, and at pretty inexpensive prices!

Outfit: black velvet

dress: Forever 21  shirt: Forever 21  shoes: Unionbay  necklace: Michael's bracelet: made by my mom

I don't take outfit pictures as much lately. Lately, I just like wearing lots of black, with black/white stripes or polka dots. I throw on comfy, cozy clothes. So my outfits probably aren't quite as interesting or worthy of pictures, but I still feel cute!

September in Review

This post is a bit late in the month. That's because I'm a bad blogger, guys. Sorry, I'm not sorry. But let's look at some pictures from the lovely month of September!

Towards the end of the month, I took a lovely road trip to San Francisco! We stayed there and in Berkeley for almost a week. There was lots of amazing food, pretty sights, and fun times.

Outfit: new hairs

shirt: ransom  skirt: buffalo  shoes: unionbay

So... I dyed my hair. I was getting really tired of everything in my life being dyed purple: my skin, my clothes, my keyboard,  even my car steering wheel. My hair was also getting pretty damaged from all the bleach and the infrequent washing to try to keep the color from fading. I wanted to dye it a bright red, but it ended up a bit darker and more brown than I wanted. I'm getting used to it now, and it's definitely nice to be able to wash my hair everyday and not worry about getting purple all over the place.

Outfit: stripes and velvet

crop top: Decree  velvet skirt: Romwe  shoes: Rock and Candy

Lately I just want to wear black/white-striped pieces of clothing paired with all black. I think I have at least one of every type of article of clothing with horizontal black/white stripes. It's just a classic and comfortable combination to me! And this plush velvet skirt fits in with my love of all things soft and fuzzy, like the carpet I'm standing on, and the blankets and pillows behind me!

Lovely Things

July in Review

Is it really August already? It feels like summer is flying by, but looking back, I've already done so many fun things. And there's still almost two months until I'm back in school for fall term, so there's still so much summer left!
a plethora of wonderful people gathered for Felicia's birthday!

 summery gothiness
At the EMP museum in Seattle: a Dalek that was used in a Doctor Who christmas special in the eighties. It's just painted wood and gold foil!
These are from Unicorn, a UNICORN THEMED BAR in Seattle with an ARCADE downstairs named NARWHAL. AHHHHHH! It was all stripes and zebra print and ornate and beautiful and perfect and I loved it.
this month I:
  • finally visited Seattle. We camped out near a bay, roamed the city, visited Pikes Place Market, checked out the EMP museum, and ate lots of delicious food.
  • had a fantastic fourth of july, complete with a pool party, fireworks, and a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity with some awesome friends.
  • redecorated my room, it's now way more girly and fuzzy and cute and bright.
  • finished watching nearly every Studio Ghibli movie every made.
  • only blogged twice. oops.

1. yummy blue cupcakes      2. freshly dyed hair
3. chipped nail polish and a cute ring       4. at Oaks Amusement Park

Outfit: summer stripes

dress: Target  vest: diy  shoes: Nordstrom Rack

Guysssss, this vest is my new favorite piece of clothing. It's so easy to just throw on over any outfit, and perfect for summer fun times. The vest was originally pastel pink when I bought it. I dyed it with purple Rit, added some pastel pink studs, and attached some cute patches to it, and now I'm absolutely in love with it.
