Honestly, there's only a couple things I miss about Alaska besides my friends and family. One of these things is the absolutely gorgeous sunsets.

These pictures were taken in my parent's yard in Wasilla, Alaska. Notice the lack of snow! That's a pretty weird occurrence for this time of year. During most of my visit, it was actually colder here in Portland, Oregon than it was in Alaska! Luckily, on the day before I left, it started dumping snow, and all was right again. It was really great getting to spend some time with my family and friends. I'll show you guys some more Alaska pictures later.

Alaska!

So, last week, I took a little trip home to Alaska for my friend, Todd’s, wedding. It was a cold, quick, and fun visit!

These are some of my favorite people in the universe!

It was so great to see their beautiful faces on their wedding day! Their wedding colors were purple and green, and all the boys wore Converse.

My mom is the best cook in the galaxy.
I’m sure everyone feels this way about their mother, but dude…seriously.

Ridiculously tasty. My mom also made cake batter bark and cake batter puppy chow (chex tossed with melted white chocolate, cake mix, and sprinkles).  Nom Nom!

We painted tons of these things with glitter and nail polish, just like the pendants I made. My mom used wire to attach some to candleholders, which looked amazing!

I adore my lovely family and awesome friends. It’s a shame they’re so far away in the great tundra! I’m really glad I got to see them, if only for a couple days.

Outfit- Hello Alaska!

So if you noticed that I haven’t posted in almost a whole week (gasp!), it’s because I took a little trip to Alaska to surprise my friend, Todd, for his wedding. I was only there for maybe five days, but it was lots of fun. It was so great to see my wonderful group of Alaskan friends, and my lovely family. There was much laughter, snow, and homecooked food. I’ll show you guys some pictures later :)

I’m loving my new hair and how vibrant it is. I have purple, pink, blue, black, and (some unintentional, but still awesome) red. I also love my giant scalloped collar! I ordered it online after seeing it in some of Scathingly Brilliant’s lovely outfit posts. (She always has the cutest dresses!) The collar was pretty affordable, $12 with free shipping, but then I found a coupon code which made it only $4! If you ever buy from Romwe, definitely google their coupon codes first, there’s a lot of good deals!
