I haven’t done a “lovely things” post since April. This is probably due to the fact that I’ve been working more hours since taking that manager job in April. Hello, my dears! Hope you all are having a wonderful Friday the 13th! Today I'm dying my hair blue, shipping out some Etsy orders, and working at the pub. I've been working a lot more than usual, hence the sparse posts on my little blog. Things should calm down at work as we hire more people, so hopefully I'll have more time for blogging and creating new jewelry soon. One of the reasons I’m most excited for summer and sunny weather is ROAD TRIPS! Stacey and I are planning an epic California trip for late summer, and Andrew and I will probably go on some small trips, and definitely visit the coast as much as possible. I love me some adventures!

I was really excited to find that it was finally released for Android, then disappointed the next day to learn that Facebook had bought it for one billion dollars. Yikes. Ello, lovelies! Sorry I haven’t been posting much this week (and by much, I mean, not at all). I’ve been sick with a terrible, miserable cold. Yep, again! Usually, I only get sick once a year, but this is my second time being sick this month. Blechhhhhh. I feel like a zombie. Except, instead of running around and devouring delicious brains, my brains are just trying to fight their way out through my nose. Gross, eh? But I digress.  Let’s look at pretty things!

(I couldn’t find the source for this illustration. If anyone knows, tell me. I really hate putting art/creations up without crediting the artist for them)

You put an unopened can of condensed milk in a water-filled crockpot set on low for 8 hours, then cool for 2 hours. Anddd that’s it… perfect caramel. I have got to try this.

I’ll admit I have mixed feelings about these. They’re super cute and I love the idea of them, but I feel like they would be heavy/uncomfortable to wear. And you would probably look ridiculous unless it was paired with the perfect makeup/outfit or it was for a costume. But…red bows!..on your eyelashes!….adorable!!!!

I am madly in love with these purses from Betseyville. I saw a picture of the purple one online ages ago, then today searched for similar ones. I was super excited when I saw all the different colors it came in, and then super sad when I realized none of them are for sale any longer. I'll think I'll keep my eyes open on ebay until one pops up for sale.

This typewriter dress is amaziiiiing. I think high fashion gets too crazy sometimes, but this collection by Mary Katrantzou is really fun stuff. Check it out.

This recipe for Cake Batter Bark looks crazy delicious! A couple days ago, my friend Stacey and I threw a birthday party for her brother. We bought birthday cake flavored Oreos, cake batter ice cream, andddd cupcakes! We also have a habit of making insane cake batter shakes at my house. So yeah, I like non-cake items that taste like cake. A lot.

Okay. This last one is a weird one. Taxidermy Necklace! I know. It’s creepy, it’s macabre. That’s exactly why I like it!
This is from a shop on Etsy called Morbid Curio Taxidermy. She makes quite a few jewelry pieces, and some statues. Most of them involve mice or rats. To be honest, if they were cheaper, I’d probably buy one. And don’t worry, none of the animals she uses were killed for this purpose. They were already dead or frozen (for reptile food).
