Outfit: Space Girl

dress: Target  space collar: Ether Apparel  boots: thrifted  helmet: ebay

For Halloween this year, I was a Space Girl. I was initially going to be an astronaut/space cadet, but the helmet I ordered off ebay (which I'm wearing above) was ridiculously uncomfortable and floppy. My space cadet collar is from Ether Apparel on Etsy. They make really fantastic pieces, custom made for your size and color preferences, and at pretty inexpensive prices!

Outfit: summer stripes

dress: Target  vest: diy  shoes: Nordstrom Rack

Guysssss, this vest is my new favorite piece of clothing. It's so easy to just throw on over any outfit, and perfect for summer fun times. The vest was originally pastel pink when I bought it. I dyed it with purple Rit, added some pastel pink studs, and attached some cute patches to it, and now I'm absolutely in love with it.

Satchel Battle Royale

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.

Last week, the strap on my beloved black satchel  broke. It was time for me to buy a new bag anyways, since I needed something that will hold my new laptop. I've been in love with satchels like these for awhile. I think my last two or three purses have been in this style, but they certainly weren't big enough to hold a laptop. So this week, I spent way too much time on the internet looking at satchels of every size, color, and texture, and finally settled on this adorable one:

I'm one of those people who actually really enjoys comparison shopping, whether its for clothes, electronics, or gifts. I just like exploring the interwebs and finding good deals on pretty things. I'm pretty excited for my new satchel, now I just have to wait a week or two for it to make its journey across the Atlantic and into my mailbox!

Treat Yo Self

dress: Target  cardigan: Frenchi  tights: Target  shoes: Anarchic

I bought this dress last week on a "Treat Yo Self" day. If you watch the show Parks and Recreation, you probably know what I'm talking about. If you don't watch the show Parks and Recreation, you're missing out and you should probably go watch it right now. Basically, there's an episode where Tom and Donna have an annual "Treat Yo Self" day, where you indulge and pamper yourself and do whatever makes you happy, whether that means new clothes, massages, mimosas, or a Batman costume.
Between finals, a two-week long cold, followed by a week of migraines, followed by an allergic reaction to new antibiotics (wheee!), it's been a rough month for me. It was really therapeutic to treat my self, and do what made me happy for a day. I really believe in self-care and paying attention to the little things that make you happy.

Little things about this outfit that make me happy: comfy new lace dress, glittery eyeshadow, wearing multiple shades of my favorite color, and my messy colorful hair.

Outfit: blue & purple

IMG_4743IMG_4747IMG_4728
shirt: ebay   skirt: Charlotte Russe   leggings: H&M   boots: Sheikh

I did something a little bit different with my hair this time around! I must give some credit to my lovely boyfriend, Andrew. He spent quite a chunk of time meticulously dying my hair so that it was a perfectly straight line down the middle. If I had attempted to do this, it would be a zig-zagged mess. I'm really happy how it turned out!

I'm headed to Alaska tonight, so I won't be around these parts much the next week or so. I'm really looking forward to seeing all my amazing Alaskan friends, my wonderful family, and the cutest dog ever, Bowser the Schnauzer! Farewell til next week!

Outfit: fuzzy flowers

IMG_4085IMG_4116IMG_4110IMG_4112IMG_4104
dress: H&M     fuzzy sweater: Arizona   shoes: thrifted   brooch: my shop

That sweater is just as soft and cuddly and fuzzy as it looks. I would be totally happy if every article of clothing I owned was made out of this fabric. I'm a very tactile person. I like fabrics that feel good, like silk or fur. I love fuzzy blankets, fuzzy pillows, fuzzy everything. I genuinely think that the "furry walls" from the movie Get Him to the Greek is one of the best ideas ever.

leggings: H&M
boots: thrifted
glitter galaxy necklace: Zombot Shop

Ah! You guys! This is definitely my favorite halloween costume of my life. See that triangle of dots in the middle of my dress? They light up blue, pink, and purple and make beep-boop-beep noises! It's so perfect! It's hard to tell in these pictures, but all my skin is covered in tons of glitter and sparkly goodness. Tonight I'm giving a group presentation for my psych class (eeeeek) and then headed to the lovely barcade Ground Kontrol for some arcade games, yummy drinks, and fun times with good friends. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!

Outfit: dreary days and bright colors

IMG_3426IMG_3361IMG_3394cIMG_3409
sweater: Dolled Up
tank: Old Navy
skirt: Forever 21
leggings: H&M
boots: thrifted

For some reason, when it starts raining, I want to wear all my comfiest black clothing. So I fought that urge, and instead reached for all my brightest comfy clothes. I love that this sweater shines and glitters depending on the light. And of course, my hair matches my outfit.

This is one of those outfits that made me happy just wearing it. Lots of purple and pretty colors and delicious desserts! My school notebook also just happened to match it perfectly.

My notebook matches my dress.

Outfit- Bowtied

IMG_0852
My mister Andrew tends to wear suspenders a lot, and bowties on occasion. I love the way they look, and like to think that I can pull them off too. I purchased both these suspenders and the bowtie on ebay supah cheap. (I even got the same bowtie in lime green!) The suspenders are purple and glittery, which is so right up my alley.

Sometime I really like the combination of green and purple, even though they don’t match well. And if green leopard print is tacky, then guess who’s tacky and doesn’t care? This girl.
